About the event

Momoko will be showing a process of metal inlay techniques such as line inlay, dot inlay and shape inlay. Nunome inlay may be shown if there is enough time. She will also explain about the Japanese alloy metals used in metal inlay (Shibuichi, Shakudo, etc.)

ARTIST BIO

Momoko has been teaching Traditional Japanese Metals Techniques thyoughout the U.S. since 2011. She studied under master Kazuo Kashima for Nunome techniques and inlay techniques from a national living treasure, Mamoru Nakagawa during her graduate studies at Kanazawa College of Arts. Currently, she is teaching metals programs at Pima Community College
